Starting March 30, 2009 Waste Management is the exclusive apartment and condo garbage and recycling collection company in:
- Northwest Seattle (north of the Ship Canal west of I-5) and
- South Seattle (south of Yesler Way west of I-5; south of I-90)
Waste Management service areas are shaded beige on map to the right.
Garbage collection in Central and Northeast Seattle are provided by CleanScapes .
Waste Management welcomes South and West Seattle apartment and condo customers, and we look forward to continuing to provide outstanding service for apartments and condos in Northwest Seattle.

Recyclables Banned from Seattle Garbage
Effective January 1, 2005, City of Seattle prohibits the disposal of certain recyclables from residential, commercial and self-haul garbage.
Fines for Recyclables in Garbage
Multi-family complexes are prohibited from putting significant amounts of paper, cardboard, cans, bottles or yard waste in the garbage. If garbage contains more than 10% recyclables, a $50 fine may be added to the garbage bill.
