Extra Yard Trimmings Wheeled yard carts make collecting and transporting yard trimmings convenient and safe. Lifting heavy cans and bags of yard trimmings can be a safety hazard for residents and collectors. If you have an occasional large amount of yard trimmings, you can put them out for collection one cartful at a time over several weeks. If you often have more yard trimmings than fit in your yard waste cart, please order another cart. Occasional extra yard trimmings (no food scraps) may be put in: No plastic bags or plastic twine, please. Plastic will not break down in the composting process.
