Request a pick up 24 hours before collection day call 1-800-592-9995 or Email WM Customer Service. Textiles should be placed in a plastic or paper bag. Please label "Textiles" and place bag(s) at the curb next to recycling cart.
Put clothing and linen in securely tied heavy duty clear plastic bags, labeled "Textiles" and put them two (2) feet from your blue recycling cart. These items will be collected on your regular collection day.
You can include items that are in good enough condition to be used by another person. All items must be clean, dry, non-moldy and usable.
Damaged clothes are accepted too. Did you know damaged clothes and linens aren't garbage anymore? Up to 95 percent of the clothes, shoes, and linens thrown in the garbage could have been reused or recycled. Many local organizations want all your clothes, shoes, and linens for reuse or recycling - even damaged items - in any condition except wet, mildewed or contaminated with hazardous materials. Visit King County's Threadcycle program to learn more.
