Facility Details The largest recycler in North America is now bringing State of the Art℠ recycling to the Inland Northwest. Technology upgrades at the SMaRT Center—WM’s regional recycling facility in Spokane—are driving greater efficiency, versatility and automation to support sustainability for communities and businesses across the Inland Northwest. With advanced technology and WM’s sophisticated design, this facility is expected to increase recycling capacity by 37%. The result is less waste and more recyclables that can be used for new products. Materials Processed This WM facility is the centerpiece of the regional recycling system, processing materials from households and businesses in Eastern Washington, Central Washington, the Columbia Basin and North Idaho. Specifically, the SMaRT facility processes materials from Spokane, Spokane Valley, Deer Park, Liberty Lake, Airway Heights, Spokane County, Wenatchee, East Wenatchee, Cashmere, Leavenworth, Rock Island, Chelan County, Douglas County, Kennewick, Sandpoint and Dover. Hours of Operation Monday - Friday: 6 am to 5 pm The site is not open to the public for drop off.
