Recycling - Required

In 2009 regional business recycling requirements took effect requiring all workplaces to recycle paper, plastic bottles and round containers, metal, and in a separate bin glass bottles and jars, post signs and train employees on what is recyclable.

Our experts work with your business to create customized recycling programs that improve operations, meet regulatory requirements and increase diversion rates.

Commercial Food Waste Requirement and Compost Collection

A regional food waste requirement begins March 2022 and many businesses within the urban areas of Clackamas County and within the Metro boundary will need to comply by 2023. All businesses generating more than one 60-gallon roll cart of food scraps per week will be required to separate food scraps. WM and Clackamas County help your business meet this requirement.
