Organic waste is collected weekly year round.
Yard Waste and Food Scraps are Accepted in the Organics Cart
Place the following items together in your organics container:
- Food scraps including meat, dairy, bones, fruits and vegetables
- Food soiled paper including coffee filters and napkins
- Plants, flowers and yard trimmings
- Colander or strainer
- Paper grocery bag
- Reusable plastic, metal, or ceramic container with a lid
There is a charge for additional units of organics beyond the basic service (except double holiday loads). For yard trimmings that don't fit in your yard cart you may use: * Yard trimmings are not accepted in plastic bags. Plastic bags are not compostable and cause processing and odor problems at the composting facility. |
