Waste Management JMK Fibers
Waste Management JMK Fibers (WM JMK) is a single stream materials recovery facility (MRF) for mixed recyclables including plastics, metals and papers servicing the Tacoma area, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, Canada and Washington State.

Facility Details

WM JMK operates in a 90,000 square foot building located on a 10-acre site within the Port of Tacoma. The facility has 24 shipping/receiving docks.

WM JMK recently completed a major equipment upgrade which includes a new state-of-the-art sort line and baling operation. These improvements make WM JMK a modern sorting facility capable of handling a wide range of recyclable materials.

Shipping Capabilities

With 20 different steamship lines serviced by the Port of Tacoma, WM JMK has the capability to ship to most of the ports overseas. WM JMK is conveniently located across the street from the Washington United Terminal (WUT), one of four terminals in the Port. The WUT terminal includes Hyundai, NYK, and OOCL among others. The Pacific Container Terminal (PCT) which is two miles from our location, handles the Evergreen Steamship Line vessels. In addition to shipping to the export markets, we also ship to various Pacific Northwest domestic mills.
